Hootie is a game developing company and our motto
is
"Board Games for Family Night",
but Hootie is also the name of my dog.

few years ago, I was planning a Halloween Party and thought it would be
fun to have a seasonal board game to play. With everyone in costume and
festive expectations, playing a board game seemed to be a perfect fit.
However, none of the stores had any such game. Undaunted, I bought some
children's Halloween books and pasted the pages on a board and invented a
unique method of card presentation (US Patent Granted). Initially called
"The Halloween Game", it is now known simply as "Spooks™". --Paul
